What is this?
The Naruto Storm Generations Native Android Port is a native recompile of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations for Android. Instead of running the Xbox 360 version through a full emulator like Xenia, this project recompiles the game's code to run natively on ARM devices.
That means less overhead, better performance on capable phones, and a more direct Android experience with on-screen controls tailored to touch.
Why it's interesting
- Native execution – The game logic is recompiled for Android, not just translated through a generic emulator.
- Optimized for mobile – Built with touch in mind, including button layouts for the Android build.
- Open source – You can follow the development, file issues, and see exactly what's being worked on over at the GitHub repo.
- Actively developed – The project is still in progress, so compatibility depends heavily on your device and how far development has come.
How to run it (legally)
This port does not include the original game files. To run it legally, you'll need to dump the game data yourself from a copy of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations that you own on Xbox 360.
Follow the setup instructions exactly as written in the project's README. Any dump, extraction, or usage of game assets must come from a copy you legally own.
Notes
- Performance will vary by device. Mid to high-end ARM devices tend to fare better, but this is still a work in progress.
- Expect bugs, missing features, or crashes while the port is under development.
- Always check the repo for the latest build, instructions, and known issues before trying to set it up.
If you're into game preservation and native ports, this is one worth keeping an eye on. Head over to the official repository to track updates and follow the project.
